Jakarta, 16 July 2024 - PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (IDX: GOTO, “GoTo Group'' or the “Company”), the largest digital ecosystem in Indonesia, has officially introduced GoTo AI, a long term Artificial Intelligence (AI) innovation program that will develop and embed the latest AI technology throughout the GoTo ecosystem.
The announcement comes as the Company launches “Dira by GoTo AI”, the first ever AI-enabled fintech voice assistant in Bahasa Indonesia. Dira is currently accessible on the GoPay app for a limited number of users and will be rolled out further before being made available on the Gojek app in the future.

Introducing Dira by GoTo AI
Dira, short for Dikte Suara (voice dictation), has been designed to enhance the overall user experience, enabling users to discover GoPay app features with greater ease and perform various tasks faster using voice commands in Bahasa Indonesia.
Hans added: “The GoPay app was designed with simplicity and accessibility in mind, in line with our mission to provide financial services for Indonesians from all levels of society including the country’s 97 million unbanked adults.1 Today, we are taking simplicity and accessibility one step further with the unveiling of Dira on the GoPay app, a first-of-its-kind AI-based voice assistant in Indonesia’s financial technology industry.”

Users can perform the same tasks with fewer steps. For example, accessing the "insurance bills" page to make social health insurance (BPJS) payments typically requires three clicks and a number of scrolls. With Dira, this same page can be reached in a single step through voice command.

Dira also simplifies navigation within the GoPay app, enabling users to discover new features and functions more easily by eliminating the need for manual typing or searching.

Accessibility:
Dira will make the benefits of AI more widely accessible as it does not add significantly to the size of the light-weight GoPay app, meaning it can be utilized on all types of mobile phones, including those with limited capacity, at no cost.
To access Dira on the GoPay app, users simply tap on the microphone icon on the top right corner of the GoPay app's main page. Users will then be able to directly give voice commands relating to multiple topics including electricity bill payments, money transfers, phone credit purchases, PIN change, and many more.
For enhanced safety and security, users will still be required to authenticate transactions with PIN and biometric verifications such as fingerprint or facial recognition. Without verification, users will not be able to complete any transactions.
Dira is a key innovation within the GoTo AI roadmap, which the Company will continue to develop as it enhances AI capabilities across the GoTo ecosystem. The roadmap is centered around three main areas; 1) creating a more seamless and convenient user experience, 2) strengthening safety across platforms, and 3) enhancing AI capacity and capability across GoTo.
