JAKARTA, 01 November 2021 - GoTo, the largest digital ecosystem in Indonesia, today announced a new feature that will enable Gojek and Tokopedia users to link their accounts. The launch of this feature builds on the many initiatives that have been introduced to provide greater value for GoTo’s ecosystem, since its formation in May this year.
Through the account linking feature, existing users of both apps can link their Gojek and Tokopedia accounts. This will give them additional benefits and greater convenience, such as using GoPay and GoPayLater to pay for transactions on Tokopedia, activating GoPay Coins as a loyalty points system to replace TokoPoints on Tokopedia, equalizing their loyalty status across both platforms, and enjoying various attractive promotions.

The Gojek and Tokopedia account linking feature has been rolled out in stages since October. Starting today, all users of the two apps can enjoy this feature by simply clicking on the account linking banner on the home page of the Gojek and Tokopedia apps.
Tokopedia's VP of Corporate Communications, Nuraini Razak stated, "Following the launch of GoPay and GoPayLater as payment methods on the Tokopedia app earlier this year, Tokopedia users can now enjoy even more benefits with the Gojek and Tokopedia account linking feature. This integration will make shopping for daily necessities even more convenient, in turn supporting the national economic recovery in Indonesia.”
Another advantage of the account linking feature is the availability of the GoPay Coins loyalty point system on Tokopedia, which will enable users to get GoPay Coins when transacting on Tokopedia. These coins will be able to be used in the Gojek application in the future. The value of 1 (one) GoPay Coin is equivalent to Rp. 1 (one rupiah), and while the coins cannot be exchanged for cash, they can be exchanged to obtain discounts on shopping transactions in Tokopedia.
In addition, customers can now equalize their status in Gojek and Tokopedia’s loyalty programs. Gojek’s GoClub loyalty program has four levels of membership, starting from Warga (Citizen), Bos (Boss), Juragan (Chief), to Anak Sultan (Royalty) level, while Tokopedia has a Tokopedia Rewards membership program which consists of Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond members. Once a user’s Gojek and Tokopedia accounts are linked, their loyalty status will automatically be equalized to the highest level they hold.
